Whether the material transfer agreement was ever countersigned. What was decided in the platform meeting three weeks ago about the assay format, and why. Which version of the protocol the new hire is following, given the team changed it after the last failure and the change lives in a message rather than a document. Whether the collaborator ever sent the samples they promised on a call.

The honest split

Where they touch is worth being precise about. When a decision is made in a meeting that changes what a protocol should say, the useful thing is not for an agent to edit the protocol. It is for the decision, the reason and the date to be captured and filed against the program, so that the next person who asks why the assay format changed gets an answer instead of a shrug.
