The Book

The knowledge system that maintains itself.

Every Personal Knowledge Management system rots for the same reason: keeping it current is too much work. This book builds a PKM that maintains itself. You talk; it files, remembers across sessions, and gets sharper the longer you use it.

Who It's For

For the person running several things at once.

A few projects, a side business, a job, a household. You've tried the notes apps and the second-brain systems, and watched every one rot under the upkeep. The fix isn't another app. It's a system that keeps itself current while you get on with your life.

What This Book Teaches You

What you'll build

The Personal AI Operating System

A way of thinking you can run for years.

It teaches a way of thinking you can run in any tool, on any stack, for years: one that stays out of your way and gets sharper the longer you use it.

It files as you talk, remembers in plain text you own, and does the reversible legwork before you ask. Start with a working system in one chapter, no code. Go all the way to one that improves itself.

About the Author

Assaf Magen, PhD

I build systems that turn complexity into clear decisions. My career has been in immunology and AI-driven drug discovery, with research in the Nature family of journals, then founding and leading a biotech where biology meets machine learning.

I didn't set out to write a book about a personal operating system. I was running several ventures at once, losing decisions between sessions, watching every tool meant to help turn into more work. So I built one that didn't. The hub in these pages is the one I actually run my ventures, research, and decisions on. The book is the generalized version.
